Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists using the area around the development of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Student Centre are being advised of road closures over the coming weeks.
Works will be carried out by UCLan’s contract partner, Balfour Beatty, to install speed cushions and carry out some highways works in Victoria Street starting on Tuesday, 26 May for four days, with the road closed for possibly three days depending on progress.
Further work will be carried out in nearby Harrington Street which will mean closure of the road on May 26th only. During the work, motorists are advised to use the official diversion routes via Aqueduct Street.
The highways scheme complements the University’s £60 million Student Centre and new civic square, a key part of its £200 million Campus Masterplan.
