Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists using the area around the development of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Student Centre are being advised of road closures over the coming weeks.
UCLan’s contract partner, Balfour Beatty, will carry out junction improvement works including the installation of new traffic signals at the intersection of Adelphi Street and Victoria Street.
The work will start on Monday, 6th July and is expected to continue until the end of August, with Adelphi Street closed and diversions in place. During the work, motorists are advised to use the official diversion routes via Harrington Street and Moor Lane.
The highways scheme complements the University’s £60 million Student Centre and new civic square, a key part of its £200 million Campus Masterplan.
